Adan Lerma - Premium Artist |
Impressionist painter Adan Lerma finds a real pleasure in discovering ways to apply his older explorations into abstraction, not just to the designing of the shapes and colors of things recognizable, but within the actual form or shape or color of that being represented, and, still stay within a realm considered representational. Even if impressionistically so. |

Adan Lerma Artist Statement: With degrees in theatre, literature, and humanities, it is my love of painting I most guard.
Compromise, whether good natured, be-grudged, even benign, is a recurrent fact of life.
Yet despite the many conflicts within me, abstraction radiating toward a new impressionism, city and nature struggling/co-existing, quick swirls stopping for careful paint placing, painting is what I preserve most as my own. As there must be someone in my life who I can feel true with, so must there be something I can feel true for.
My website mirrors my moods and art interests. Reviews of movies, music, and art I've enjoyed; self critiques (I call them) of the painting process of selected works is there; plus self photos (how could I have just one :-) my wife patiently captured over several weeks. And of course, an evolving body of work in paint.
Come visit, I hope you'll enjoy.
