My mother had a green thumb and my father was a desert botanist. As my three sisters and I grew up we were influenced by our mother's pleasure in her flower gardens and our father's love of hiking the mountains of the Mohave Desert. The subjects of many of my watercolor paintings are these same flowers, trees, and desert mountains.
