Betsy likes stone as a natural medium and loves the reduction process of carving with all its challenges. A favorite stone at present is alabaster with its intrinsic beauty, color and translucency. She likes modeling forms in clay or wax, either from life or from an idea and she also loves the bronze casting process. Her excitement begins with the material and the moment when the material meets the idea or spirit. She then comes to life and can't wait to get to work.

Brian was born in London and immigrated to Canada in 1971 where he spent much of his spare time improving his drawing and painting techniques studying with prominent artists. He went on to teach and exhibit his work in western Canada and has now shown his work in England, Italy and the United States.

Brian's inspiration comes from the world around him and he often sketches in his pocket notebook. His travels take him to many destinations and although much of his work is completed in his studio he much prefers plein air painting.

In 2000 Brian moved to the United States. During the hot summer months in Tucson they migrate to Maine where they have family property on a pristine lake. They have studios in both locations so are able to continue with their creativity throughout the year. Brian teaches drawing and painting at both locations and exhibits his work at his studio and at Blue Hill Bay Gallery, Blue Hill, Maine.
