Bettty Pehme's imagery is mainly abstract, often referred to as 'organic landscapes.' Other pieces are whimsical, representing scenes of everyday life, while the underlying thread of human relationships is often at the very core of her work.
Betty Pehme draws upon her mastery of metal arts, textiles, print making, and painting while furthering the exploration of image making. As a result, this merging of different media creates images that do not readily fall under traditional genres and simple categorization. Betty celebrates diversity in her art.
