Brian LaSaga Artist Statement: Painting is my only way of communicating intimate reactions to nature, life and the world around me.I'm greatly influenced by nature and her naturally rustic, abstract themes..Being faithful to my subjects allow me to gain insight into my work, and in turn gives me a better perspective and understanding of my surroundings. As an artist and conscious observer,I strive for an abstract, realistic simplicity and I'm forever interested in capturing the fleeting essence of each subject. My ultimate goal is to show not just what I see and feel, but what I want my viewers to see and feel.First and foremost, I'm true to myself and ultimately I want to inspire my viewers.
