Carolyn WarmSun - Premium Artist |
I came to art-making late, and to painting only a few years ago after dance and stone sculpture. The common thread, no matter what the form, is the symbolic, spiritual, and poetic depiction of nature and life's cycles. |

Watercolor has been my primary medium, but currently, I am experimenting with incorporating other media and ways of creating textured surfaces. I have also moved to more abstract expression of my ideas, and am a member of the International Society of Experimental Artists. I paint regularly in my home studio, and pursue what I call my IMFA, Independent Master of Fine Arts through an ever-expanding library of good books on design, composition, and creativity. I often write poems that articulate the spirit of my paintings-the combination of visual and verbal is very satisfying to me.
