Upon retirement I decided to jump in and paint every day. My mother, a wonderful artist, was a major influence in my creative life. She helped me look at art and taught me to love what I see in the world. Karin Jurik, Carol Marine, Qiang Huang, and Dreama Tolle Perry and other contemporary artists have all helped me to learn technique and have inspired me to find the courage to continue painting.
