He is mostly self-taught, but in later life attended the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD). He was a high school teacher of philosophy, religion, and art for thirty-four years. He loved to study art history and tries to follow the contemporary art scene. Art is a great source of meditation for him, which inspires him to search for beauty in the ordinary of life. Colin continues to teach students of all ages.
