Courtney Simms is a self-taught Canadian artist who has been painting since 2005 and works primarily in acrylics. With her unique take on expressionist painting she creates her signature landscapes by incorporating vibrant and dramatic colors with interesting shapes. Courtney Simms is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and has attended workshops with Alan Wylie, Mike Svob and Amanda Jones.
After graduating from University with a degree in English in 2005 she took her passion for painting and pursued a career as a full-time artist. Her art has garnered much admiration and enthusiasm since first picking up her paintbrush in 2005. Those who admire her work often say the paintings make them feel happy and relaxed.
