For many years Dave painted the western scene. However, being raised in an aviation atmosphere, it was only a matter of time that he would paint airplanes along with western scenes. In the last several years he has garnered several awards at the prestigious EAA art competition in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He easily converts from one subject matter to another, at this time, his love of western history has allowed him to become involved in a project dear to his heart, The Lewis & Clark Expedition. Dave is usually in attendance as an art vendor at a number of air shows each year especially in the western United States. Dave paints from his Western Wings Studio in Osage, Wyoming.
