When I was younger made a living as a portrait painter and for many years painted non-representational pieces. When in Holland, I met an artist living on a houseboat and created a whole series of modern pieces with this Dutch painter. After returning home, I sent her a print of Samurai and asked her to add something to it or crack it up. When it came back it was great, then I did the same and sent it back to her. Thus, we created a series of thirty two paintings the Samu Series. It was so much fun, I am thinking of doing the same with some other foreign artist.
