Studio 35 and The Drawing Room Gallery are set in the family home. Painting every morning and continuing to study figurative work at every opportunity the gallery offers a wide variety of character studies and explorative works.
An award-winning member of local art leagues Donna shows extensively in eastern Ontario fine art exhibitions. She is represented in The Ottawa Valley by Gallery Perth and shows her work in the wine regions and café scenes of Prince Edward County.
Inspired by the forms and structures of Modigliani and encouraged by Van Gogh’s daring with colour her work presents an emotional impact that challenges the viewer to share the experience.
Donna continues with life study classes at the Ottawa School of Art and has studied with Alex Powers, Skip Lawrence and most recently with Carla O’Connor.
She teaches Figurative Expressionism for the City of Ottawa and in her home studios.
