Heinz Pirnke - Premium Artist |
Born in Germany, drawing became his favorite pastime in early childhood. He progressed from pencil to ink drawings and then ventured into pastel painting. In his late teens Heinz became an accredited artist. After arriving in Canada in 1956, he painted mainly in oil and alkyd, getting in a bit of watercolor. |

Heinz Pirnke's European naturalistic style and interest is mainly in landscape painting and wildlife. Living right between such marvelous mountains provides him with an unending supply of vistas worthy of painting. That does not exclude an occasional flower or still life.
Heinz likes to experiment using different materials to paint on.
A few years ago he discovered Soapstone carving and he found this very satisfying to do. So this will probably be his main occupation for the immediate future.
