Iskra is a concept-driven artist working in mixed media, printmaking, photography, powdered pigment and watercolor as well as new hybrid digital/analogue methods. With a background in letterforms and calligraphic art, her work shows a strong sense of design and may include visual narrative, exploration of symbol systems and her own writing. She is currently focused on the visual journal as art, art about signs, and a series of works about Mexico. She lives in Seattle Washington.
