Jean Ives' favourite subjects are the light, lifestyles and landscapes of Canada's east and west coasts, and quiet places that invite the viewer to relax. Jean has been very successful in juried shows, galleries, solo shows, and studio tours. Oil paints have wonderful textural and blending attributes as well as interesting challenges and a canvas ground has life and bounce that begs to be used.
