It is a look at the landscape I see everyday. For the past year I have been recording the subtle changes in my environment with a one-a-day painting. These paintings are small 4 x 6 or 8 x 10 but some are as large as 40 x 48.
My work is often described as being stylized and impressionistic. I hope to bring to my paintings a skillful interpretation of the subject, one that is full of spirit and vitality. I have a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta and I constantly study with fellow artists to keep my skills fresh.
I am a partner in an Art Gallery/Studio Space in Red Deer called the Gallery IS. This is a place where we show the public the beautiful and creative side of the people they know. The Gallery is the nucleus for artists Erika Schulz, Rikki Renard, Beth Ferchuk, and Lauren Cowles. It is a thriving community of artists. Our gallery has been open since March of 2006 and is located in Red Deer's Downtown at
