Living and working in Ireland, I'm thirty-six years old, married with two small kids and painting has been my overriding passion for the past nine years. In that time experimentation has been key, but now I find myself working mainly in acrylics. The quick drying allows me to work fast and to build up layers and texture, which are important elements in my work, as I would see myself as a very physical visceral type of painter.
If I was to label myself I would call myself a figurative painter. I love depicting people in strong expressionistic color. Small brushes and fine details have never found favor in my studio. I'm messy with paint and have given up on an ordered palette a long time ago. I love every minute of it.
