Joan Wolbier's recent move to Colorado has allowed her to develop herself as a landscape and wildlife artist working with watercolor, pen and ink, colored pencil, and oil. She lives in Boulder, Colorado with her photographer husband and musician son right next to the landscapes that she loves to paint.

Joan Wolbier Artist statement: Creating art has always been a spiritual experience for me. I create to satisfy my own curiosity about the magic in our lives. That magic appears on a sheet of paper when I draw a sunflower, a crane, a fox. Visions of mountains, trees, and oceans appear when I paint shapes and colors. My work is representational and explores exterior and interior landscapes and the natural world.
