Laura Pascal lives in Northern California with her husband and four children. She earned a BFA at Arizona State University in 1985 and has not stopped painting since. Laura is inspired by color and nature, and uses both to recreate the stunning beauty found in her own backyard as well as the gardens of others. She has been known to plant a species only so she can paint it when it blooms. |

While the flower blossoms are important in Laura's work, the foliage plays a big part also. The details of an unopened bud or a twining tendril always have a place in her paintings. The natural play of complimentary colors works as well on her paper as in nature.
