Marc L Gagnon, BES, B.ARCH, O.A.A., CSPWC, is a full time artist, employing both watercolour and acrylic mediums. He holds degrees in Environmental Studies and Architecture, from the University of Waterloo and practiced architecture for over twenty-four years. |

Marc began painting in 1976. In 2000 he was elected a member of The Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour, and served on its board of directors for several years. He was the chair of the CSPWC exhibition committee and served as the President from 2005 until 2007. In 2006 he was the official host for the CSPWC watercolour symposium in Calgary Alberta.
Mr. Gagnon's paintings have been exhibited at four CSPWC 'Open Waters' exhibitions, Visual Art Mississauga Annual Juried Exhibitions as well as several Gallery of Peel Annual Juried Exhibitions. In 2005 he was the recipient of the Daler Rowney Award at the CSPWC 80th annual Open Waters Juried Exhibition. He was selected to exhibit in the 2004 - 6th International Water Colour Biennial in Mexico. In 2006 he was a juror for the 21st annual Toronto Watercolour Society Juried Spring Show. He was the juror for the Mississauga Artist of The Year Award in 2004.
Many arts organizations have engaged Marc as an instructor and demonstrator of watercolour and acrylic painting at various venues throughout Ontario.
