I grew up in Utah surrounded by natural beauty. My great grandfather was a forest ranger and as youngsters we spent every weekend at my grandparents cabin. The mountains and nature were my home and I loved every minute I spent exploring and discovering the natural world. Painting nature's palette and nature's beauty is what I set out to capture on the canvas and this is why I feel so at home painting Plein Air. In my impressionistic paintings I show others what I see and feel and I want the viewer to be an active participant, to fill in the blanks.
