My studio is my favorite place in the whole world. Situated in Three Rivers, California, in the southern Sierra Nevada, a wood stove heats the room, plump chairs are available for guests and my Great Dane takes up most of the floor. I have been a professional artist for forty years, painting in watercolor and acrylics, loving both. It's rejuvenating, like changing the music from opera to rock. My subjects range from food, mythology and animals, to town scenes and landscapes. I have a strong emotional attachment to the foothills and mountains of the Sierras surrounding my gallery, and I look forward to spending a lifetime painting the area.
Commission works can be watched in progress on my blog where I lead you from concept to fruition, updating the process each day. I love the challenge of trying something that might be beyond my capabilities. I work in my studio seven days a week, work and pleasure are synonymous. And whatever my current project is, fun is a critical factor. Painting is magic and I want magic in my life every day. There isn't anything more exciting.
