The medium of watercolor provides me with a most satisfying and versatile way to express my love of the natural world. The inspiration for many of my paintings comes from summer sailing trips along the coast of Maine, which gave me access to special places often not seen from a land-bound perspective. |

International Artist magazine included one of my paintings in its 2004 book titled How Did You Paint That? 100 Ways to Paint Landscapes, Vol. 1. The painting 'Schoodic Totem' was included in the 'Top 100' in the national 'Arts for the Parks Competition' in September, 2000. 'Island Ledge Garden' was included in the San Diego Watercolor Society's 30th Annual International Exhibition in 2010.
