Rebecca Thompson studied art at the University of Arkansas and with Guido Frick, Stephen Cefalo, and Terry Rowlett. Before beginning to paint full time, she was head gardener at the Arkansas Governor's Mansion and was a garden designer. She shows in galleries in Maine and Arkansas. Her work is in coporate and private collections in the United States, Bali, and Europe. |

Rebecca Thompson Artist Statement: Most of my work involves a captured moment which implies narrative and action, future or past. By doing this, I hope to create a sense of anticipation which invites the viewer to participate. I want to imply a story, but let the viewer supply the details. Washes of light and atmospheric strokes of color in oil are my tools.
