The information about our changing planet comes to us daily. This current work is a response to the complex challenge of comprehending what is happening to the environment around us. My intention is to present this information in a non-verbal form. To translate our situation into images that can be recognized as rich, inviting and planetary.
The paintings view the earth from space, its oceans, mountains and continents in a process of constant change. This changing environment is a profound reality and a difficult one to grasp. Yet surely art can help us take a step toward understanding it.
