Rose-Marie Goodwin (Johnsen, née Svenhard), born in Sweden, came to Canada's west coast as a child. Creative and artistic in her core, her innate sense of colour was influenced by O'Keeffe, Hopper, Gavazzi, Degas and Caravaggio.
An accomplished colourist, her own style developed at the Emily Carr Art and Design and Capilano Universities, Vancouver, Canada; Instituto Allende in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico; and painting, painting, painting (Malcolm Gladwell's 10,000 hours).

Now acrylic and oil paints, from the 1970's Rose-Marie has worked with watercolours, pastels, metal casting, lost wax jewellery casting and wood sculpting.
Rose-Marie is at the Bellevue Gallery in West Vancouver as a visiting artist. Her solo exhibitions include the Bellevue Gallery, Hollyburn Country Club and Silk Purse Gallery. Juries have selected her works for Group Shows at the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA) Gallery in Vancouver; Sidney Fine Arts Show; Kelowna Art Visions; and Ferry Building Art Gallery in West Vancouver. Rose-Marie was awarded the FCA's First Prize in its 'Canvas Unbound' Exhibition; 2011 American Art Awards 3rd Prize in Floral category; and ÒBest AbstractÓ in the 2012 Boldbrush Competition.
Her work has sold in Canada, Washington, Oregon, California, Michigan, North and South Carolina, Florida, Belgium and Sweden.
