Sharon A. Stone Acrylic Paintings |
Sharon A. Stone has lately become involved in the art world, painting colourful landscapes using acrylics. Water, with its varying temperature and reflective qualities, is a predominant theme in her paintings. Sharon has displayed her work at venues on Vancouver Island, in Vancouver, and at the Paula White Diamond Gallery in Ontario. |

Sharon A. Stone was born in Nova Scotia and being part of a military family, moved frequently. She continued this pattern in her adult life, living on three coasts and in seven provinces/territories of Canada. Her love of travel has taken her to over half the globe as well as on adventures such as crossing the South Atlantic ocean as one of a crew of four on a 52 foot sailboat.
Sharon A. Stone Artist Statement: My paintings are impressions of nature as reflected in colourful landscapes and waterscapes. It is my hope that each image I produce will be powerful in its ability to pull the viewer in.
Colour is important to me. My love of colour started at an early age, when my mother, a talented seamstress, made dresses and coats for myself and my sister. I remember very clearly the colours of my favorites – delicious lavenders, blues, pinks and yellows. Another equally strong influence on my painting has been nature itself, particularly water.
