Artist Statement:
In my paintings, I transport the protagonists from their typical backdrops of beaches, parks, dance halls and roadways into unexpected ecclesiastical and venerated worlds. This transports them in gravitas beyond their original status, and produces delicious juxtapositions.
I want every work to pose a question and include the viewer in the puzzle... Why?' or 'Where to next…?'
