Tina Whitfield - Premium Artist |
With encouragement from parents, friends, and by way of dream work, I came into the world of painting five years ago. It is through my inner work that I have come to fully realize the vital role that expression through painting plays in my life. Having some experience with watercolor, pastel and oil, I choose oil most frequently, focusing on portraiture, still life and landscape paintings in my ongoing class instruction. |

Tennessee has been my home for the past three decades, and I am awed and transformed by the beauty evident in nature around me as well as in the many gifts of fine art produced by artists worldwide. I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to express myself through art, and to enjoy, learn and gain inspiration from that which other artists past and present have created and shared with the world.
Having some freedom to plan my own course of study has allowed me to participate in a number of workshops in addition to class instruction taken locally. More recent portrait workshop instruction opportunities have been with Elizabeth Rogers, Mia Bergeron and Michael Shane Neal.
Currently accepting portrait commissions, I find beauty in every face, and am continually delighted by the awakening of my eyes and mind to the nuances revealed about an individual as I work on a portrait or figure study.
